Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

There wasn't much work compared to being at Geneseo; however, there was less time in which to do it.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The faculty were great. Very supportive and knowledgeable. I felt like I was in good hands.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Safe neighborhood, mostly other seminar students living nearby. Solid half-hour walk to lectures, though.

* Food:

The only food available for vegetarians was usually soup.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Traditional Irish dancing, hikes, museums, tours--never a lack for something to do!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Sligo seemed pretty safe. No one on the trip had any real health issues, but once when I got the stomach flu the faculty were concerned and supportive.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Faculty
  • Day Trips/Field Trips
* What could be improved?
  • I don't know!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? The seminar is about being social. You are constantly surrounded by other students, professors and community members who are interested in Yeats. You live with your group. If you want to go off and do lots of things by yourself, this trip is not for you.
