Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
The workload was substantial but in my case, it was also voluntary. You can choose to take relatively easy courses as opposed to participating in time consuming projects or otherwise. The grading system was comparable to ours. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Strengths- they were always available and ready to answer any questions; they truly worked toward the students best interest and were eager to offer any help they could. Weaknesses- communication was often timeS difficult as their English was not as well versed as I hoped. |

* Food: |
The University itself houses many decent restaurants. |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Trip to Busan was absolutely memorable; it was hosted by the program. |

|

Yes
|
Finances

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | N/A |
Language
* Did your program have a foreign language component? | Yes |
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | None |
What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? | Begginers Korean Language Course |
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition? |
|
Language acquisition improvement? |
I was encouraged to learn the language because of the lack of communication otherwise. Also, I did practice plenty with my lab mates and other foreign students living within the dormitories. |
