Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Classes taught in English were no different than those taught at a UC.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

On site admin were very helpful and always available for questions/concerns.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

Food is cheap and delicious! There's a nice variety.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The optional field trips were pretty good and reasonably priced.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Seoul is a very safe place! I did not experience any issues with safety or health.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? If you're commuting, save extra for transportation just in case! Although you can plan on taking the bus/subway everyday sometimes it's more convenient to take a taxi (which might end up costing more).

Language

Language acquisition improvement?

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Do your research and know what to expect. Of course you can't be prepared for everything, but there are a lot of reviews/discussions about this program online that can give you a more personal insight to the program. Students with an open mind and a willingness to try new things would benefit the most.
