"It's hard to boil it all down, but going abroad strengthened my friendships (and my relationship with my significant other). I'm closer with some friends, and my SO, than when I left. "I learnt about the local culture in Scotland, and made amazing friends. I also learnt how to travel by myself, and be more independent. A student Brandeis University
"I learned a lot about myself, and I guess that's part of the point in going abroad, to learn about yourself and becoming a better person. I got to learn about living in a space a bit out of my comfort zone, and how to enjoy traveling, with people and by myself. It was all completely worthwhile."
A student Brandeis University
"It was absolutely worthwhile! Because the courses I took were far less demanding than my typical Brandeis courses, I had a lot of time to just go out and explore the city. "
Courtney Brandeis University
"I improved my Spanish so much that I would now consider myself to be fluent. I think in Spanish without trying and I use it regularly to communicate with the friends I made. I learned a lot about the political and economic structure of México from conversations with my peers and host family. I also learned about differences that..."

A student Brandeis University
