"Going to the international organizations and speaking with experts in the field of international law was my favorite part. I feel like I learned so much about how Europeans view the US, which was extremely important to me. "
A student The University of Texas at Austin
"I learned about the Chilean health care system and about traditional methods of medicine. My Spanish improved more than anything. I think the lessons I learned outside of the classroom were the most important. I learned about the importance of challenging myself and I learned about how to communicate in another language."

"ABSOLUTELY WORTH WHILE! I learned so much through DOING and SEEING. Although the traditional academic setting (or traditional American academic setting) wasn't present, I was able to visit various UN organizations, the WHO, remote villages in North Africa (Morocco), etc. Every day was vastly different, yet enriching. I learned t..."

"Absolutely, if only for the Spanish language skills I acquired and the tools to conduct independent research."
Christopher C Fordham University
"I learned that study abroad programs are really catered towards a particular student. I also learned that a lot of Americans are ignorant about global issues regardless of how much they learn inside the classroom. This particular study abroad program really tried to integrate the American students into its culture and I also saw..."

"It was definitely worthwhile. The kind of stories I heard, the experiences I had and the people I met made all the difference. I was really impacted by the way public policy decisions made years ago still affects people today on a very personal level. As a poli sci major, this was an important concept for me so that I could unde..."

"I was able to compare large issues through small experiences. I learned the importance of informal and formal settings. I learned to question everything. I learned to let people speak..."
David O Providence College
"I learned a lot about myself, how I handle situations, why I get frustrated and when I get happy. I learned to appreciate little successes and little instances in my day. I gained an entirely new perspective on another culture and OF COURSE IT WAS WORTHWHILE! Times a million :)"
A student Providence College
"I gained a better understanding of Vietnam- historically, economically, and culturally. I learned so much about the diversity of Vietnamese culture, and I am glad I explored the country of my heritage through this program. I personally gained a stronger connection and a newfound love for Vietnamese people and culture."

"I learned that when things get hard, the best thing is to keep going and put yourself as deeply in the thick of things as possible. I realized that I could have observed Chile and my host family or I could jump in, make a lot of mistakes, but also get so much more out of it. This program was incredibly worthwhile and special. I ..."
