Past Review Studying Ecology In Ecuador Opened My Eyes To The Beauty Of Nature. SIT Study Abroad: Ecuador - Comparative Ecology and Conservation

"Studying abroad with SIT in Ecuador was the best thing I could have ever done at this time in my life. It has taught me that anything is possible and has inspired me to fight for what I believe in. "

Past Review Sit Switzerland: An Academic And Cultural Experience SIT Study Abroad: Switzerland - International Studies and Multilateral Diplomacy

"I had an amazing experience with study abroad, the highlight of which was my homestay family. In retrospect, I would not have chosen a program where I studied and traveled with a bunch of American students (this ultimately felt limiting) and instead would have opted for a program at a Swiss university. This was not true for ever..."

Past Review Northeast Brazil Social Justice Program: Faulted But Ultimately Unforgettable And Rewarding. Fortaleza Social Justice And Sustainable Development SIT Study Abroad: Reviews from Former Locations

"Even though I was bothered by many aspects of the program, I ultimately learned a lot from it academically and personally. I already had international exposure and had traveled extensively, but living in Brazil made the experience entirely different. I am more aware now of justice and political issues that I didn't pay attention..."

Past Review Sit: Public Health In Chile Well Organized & Executed Program SIT Study Abroad: Chile - Public Health, Traditional Medicine, and Community Empowerment

"Absolutely worthwhile. I'm presently continuing the research that I began during my time in Chile-- namely, how poor diets and insufficient levels of physical activity are making the children of today likely to have shorter, lower quality lives than their parents. I'm also now able to apply my Spanish during research-related a..."

Past Review Sit Mexico Is Amazing. Oaxaca Sustainable Development And Social Change SIT Study Abroad: Reviews from Former Locations

"The experience, especially my independent study gave me new direction to pursue a field in health care. Living in an apartment and in hostels has given me the confidence to live abroad in a Spanish speaking country. One of the things that I took away from it academically was the need to question my Western lens continually. "

Past Review Morocco: Culturally Rewarding, Sit: Think Twice SIT Study Abroad: Morocco - Human Rights, Social Justice, and Cultural Transformation

"It was worthwhile because I had the chance to visit my great grandmother's grave. That however, is an entirely personal reason. I don't regret coming. However, I would have chosen a different program. I was not as all satisfied with the organization and academics that were offered."

Past Review Gringa In Peru SIT Study Abroad: Peru - Indigenous Peoples and Globalization

"While my future plans and academic interests didn't change much as a result of my experience, I now have a better understanding of a culture very different from my own, and a great appreciation for and interest in Latin American cultures as a whole, especially indigenous cultures. The best part, though, is that even though I've ..."

Past Review Life Changing Experience In Northern Ireland. Dublin Transformation Of Social And Political Conflict SIT Study Abroad: Reviews from Former Locations

"It's a great program, very intense experience studying one topic so in-depth. We had a lot of fun along the way too. You are not supposed to leave Ireland/Northern Ireland during the study abroad program, so this is more of a deep experience in one country than a backpacking across all of Europe experience. We also spent quit..."
