"I learned a lot about myself and those I choose to surround myself with. You learn to deal with a lot of different personalities and how to coexist with people that do not bring a smile to your face. Always be the best you can be."
Riley Florida State University
"I grew up a lot. Learned how to adapt, how to take care of my self, how to stay calm in stressful situations. I learned a lot about who I am and what I want. I also learned a lot about what I personally believe. "
Megan W Florida State University
"My time spent in panama was spent mainly with the locals because learning about there culture was the best part of this program I believe. Everything else was not as fun. School was harder than other study abroad programs and the city was not somewhere you could adventure around. There was also little to no opportunity to travel..."

"I became more confident, made new friends, learned so much science, and got to experience life at sea."
Emily Dailey Florida State University
"I learned how to fend for myself in a different culture. "
Crystal Serrano Florida State University
"Prior to my involvement with the GREEN program, I was consumed by the water drought occurring in California. The NASA data that reported alarmingly high rates of world aquifer depletion, as well as the effects of over-consumption, forced me to adopt a low-water footprint, vegan diet. Not only did I change physically, mentally, I..."

"Yes! I feel very connected to academic resources in Georgia and prominent linguists in the country. I also had a great time with my host family. "

"Jumping into my first experience abroad in Iceland really exceeded all the expectations I previously had. I learned the cold isn't really that bad, the best places in the world are the ones I have yet to explore, my ideas of alternative energy are more broad that I know, and friendships built out of curiosity and common goals wi..."

"I learned so much about the arts and culture in London but also, I learned a lot about myself and made amazing friends along the way. It was definitely worth every penny."
Sarah S Florida State University
"I learned so much! It is amazing how traveling abroad makes you learn about yourself and how being in another culture truly shapes you. It was so fun to learn more Spanish and actually use it to live and converse! Definitely worthwhile. I can't talk highly enough of FSU Costa Rica Study Abroad. "

"Studying abroad was the best decision I ever made. "

"Savor life slowly."

"Wow, what an experience did I have in Boston this summer. I wasn't ready for a working environment when i started but left with so much more confidence. Working and school are two completely different realms and I so happy happy I choose to work. The connections I made at Ringley are sure to be beneficial going forward as I s..."

"The experience was completely worthwhile. Before coming to Japan, I was able to read and write well, but my listening and speaking skills were nonexistent. Now, I feel very comfortable asking for directions, talking to a waiter about my food allergies, or asking my teacher questions."
Rachel B Florida State University
"Japan is simply amazing. I think everyone needs to visit this country. It's beautiful, clean, safe, kind, respectful, and humbling. Such an interesting culture and so much fun!"
Laura H Florida State University
"I learned facilitation skills. I learned a lot about Northeast Thailand and how villagers are often not given a voice to participate in the decisions that affect their lives. I feel like I understand community organizing better. "
Georgia K Florida State University
"Too much to put into words. I am now applying to law schools and my time abroad is the emphasize of my personal statement and resume. I know that I changed for the better and I saw my classmates change drastically."
Kimberly J Florida State University
"Where to begin... for a girl with big dreams and formerly no international experience, this summer was perfection. I always knew I could get out of my comfort zone (home town, etc) but until this trip I didn't know how true that was. I will always live in a city, seek culture, changing trends, art, music, smart conversation and ..."

"This gave me the career boost that I needed. It allowed me to transition smoothly from school into the "real" world. "
Charles O Florida State University
"My study abroad experience was the most worthwhile experience of my life. It was worth every penny spent. From living abroad for a fall semester, my eyes were opened to a greater understanding of the world, which is unattainable in the self-centered culture of America. I learned more in the span of four months than I have learne..."

"My experience abroad drastically changed the way I look at the world and at myself. Not only did I improve my Spanish, but I got to understand a new culture first hand. The academics at Veritas encourage my assimilation and ISA helped my integration into San Jose and the Tico lifestyle. My experience with ISA was such a great..."
Nick Z Florida State University
"ASA was great and we got to do things that students in other programs did not. Just a tip, there are alot of Americans in Florence in the summer. I would choose a fall or spring term with ASA if I had the time to do that. 3 weeks was a short program, but what I got out of it was amazing! I might have also considered doing 2 summ..."

"I met a few Catalan people who I consider to be good friends now, they are really friendly and have very interesting stories to tell. So, I would encourage students to get away from the American students and tourists and meet locals. "
