After freshman year, all Franciscan students have the opportunity to study for one semester in Franciscan University of Steubenville's Austrian Program. The picturesque village of Gaming, nestled in the foothills of the Austrian Alps, serves as home base for the 150 students who take advantage of this program each semester. Students live and study in a fourteenth-century Carthusian monastery, restored to its original Baroque splendor.
