Kirkwood Community College, often referred to as “Kirkwood University” is a comprehensive two-year college in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, serving seven counties and enrolling more than 14,000 credit students each year. Through its Global Learning department, Kirkwood ensures every Mountaineer has access to transformative international experiences, overseeing study-abroad programming, English Language Acquisition courses, and a growing network of overseas partnerships. The college currently sends over 100 students abroad annually and awards dedicated scholarships that keep global learning within reach for every budget.
Study abroad options include more than 15 faculty-led programs that run during spring break, May term and summer, as well as semester exchanges through partner institutions across Europe, Asia and Latin America.
