"I got to live in one of my favorite countries and really experience British life. I saw the greater part of Southern England and went on trips that were academically-interesting, culturally-enriching, entertaining, and even sometimes athletically-challenging (in a good way). I tried many new things, including traveling alone, ta..."

"I learned biology in an entirely new context. Concepts I had learned or brushed on in the classroom during my previous semesters could be applied to living/field contexts in South Africa. The ability to apply what was learned in lectures and literature in my own research and daily observations was extraordinary. "

A student Wellesley College
"I learned how to live a different lifestyle than I was used to in many ways. I also learned valuable skills in terms of spending money, traveling, and making friends. It was definitely worthwhile."
Aviva Feldman Wellesley College
"I became much more independent, more flexible, more street smart, more mature, and more culturally knowledgeable. I hadn't been able to travel much before this semester, but had always wanted to, and by being in a major global metropolis central to Europe, I had the opportunity to see a lot of beautiful and amazing places on a ..."

A student Wellesley College
"Learned more about the Spanish culture. Made new friends. "

"I learned a lot about myself as cheesy as it sounds. I learned about the communities I want to build, what environments work or dont work for me, and I was constantly reminded of why I love Spanish and how it opens up a new worlds for me. I think people would be shock when I say the program was worthwhile even though many people..."
A student Wellesley College
"I learned how to deal with different and uncomfortable situations and I gained a better understanding of Spanish culture and life. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to spend time in Spain and learn about topics from a different perspective. "
A student Wellesley College
"I learned about my American identity and have a deeper appreciation for the US and my family. I think it was significantly worthwhile to be abroad, but I wish that I did have to endure some of the demoralizing aspects of my specific host family. However, I appreciate "home" so, so much more now. "
A student Wellesley College
"It was definitely worthwhile studying abroad in London. The area around Goldsmiths UOL is very diverse, and affordable compared to central London. It also feels less touristy with an abundance of inexpensive food markets, smaller local art shows and shops, and community events going on. Generally, there is no shortage of fun and..."

"Being abroad has taught me where my comfort zone ends and what circumstances will lead me to step out of it."
A student Wellesley College
"I really came to Spain to get a different experience and that I did. "
A student Wellesley College
"I improved at Spanish which was my primary goal. I need to keep working on it to reach the level of fluency that I want (I believe I could communicate any idea I want and understand what people are talking about but there are areas where I could have a better vocabulary like in the kitchen and I still make some grammar mistakes ..."

Sarah White Wellesley College
"Totally worthwhile. I grew a lot"
A student Wellesley College
"I learned how to survive independently in a bustling city and learned a great deal about the culture. In terms of academics, the program was not very rigorous, professors were difficult to contact, and overall was not enriching, insightful or engaging."
A student Wellesley College

A student Wellesley College
"I learned about racial relations in contexts out side of the US that, although I thought I understood previously, I realized I didn't fully get before. I was given a non-western perspective for the first time and was able to question things that I had blindly accepted before. "
Emilia B Wellesley College
"It was definitely a worthwhile experience. The academics is not as intensive as Wellesley, so you will have plenty of time to enjoy the culture and lifestyle abroad. "
A student Wellesley College

Alejandra Narvaez Wellesley College

A student Wellesley College
"I got an international experience, especially in a medical context, which I was happy about. It was worthwhile because I'm not sure if I would have had this opportunity otherwise. I do wish that the program had been better fleshed out and that the administration was more supportive"
A student Wellesley College
"It was worth discovering the French art, visiting the museums, and getting to speak in French again."
