Program Overview: This four-week interdisciplinary summer program (July each summer), taught in English at Bar-Ilan University, Israel, offers five graduate level courses which focus on identity-based conflicts. Courses can also be taken individually. Social sciences and Humanities students gain theoretical insights and practical training with a wide range of applications. The curriculum comprises of seminars, workshops, simulations, lectures and study tours In addition to the Program Completion Certificate, an official university transcript can be issued upon request.
Applicants must provide· At least a BA degree (or close to completion of the BA degree by the beginning of the Summer Program) · Curriculum Vitae · A one page statement of purpose explaining the applicant’s interest in the program.
Tuition Fees (Full Program): Tuition is US $3,200 for 10 credit hours (5 courses). Tuition for individual courses (for 2 credit each) is US $640 per course. An additional US $50 non-refundable application fee will be charged upon applicationVarious scholarships are available.
Background: Established in 1955, Bar-Ilan is one of Israel's largest academic institution, with over 30,000 students, and over 100,000 alumni filling leading positions in the Israeli and international markets.
The Summer Program is operated by the Program in Conflict Resolution, Management and Negotiation (CRMN), which is part of the Interdisciplinary Studies Unit at Bar-Ilan University. The CRMN Program offers graduate degree tracks, sponsors research, training programs, and runs a Mediation Center. The program also recently launched the Religion and Conflict Resolution Masters Track, and publishes the International Journal of Conflict Engagement and Resolution.
