Paris Internship Program: Too Much Focus On Initial Schooling, Needs More Focus On Actual Internship
It was worth it for the internship part of the program. The staff could have handled different issues that many students had in a bit more of a compassionate manner, and if there was less of a focus on schoolwork and assignments while working full-time at the internship, I feel I could have profited more from experiencing daily ... I learned a lot about myself, my friends and my family. I understand a lot more about Europe and France. I am proud of myself for having lived by myself. I learned another language, I learned how to cook, I met amazing people and am so thankful. Gabrielle H - Simmons College View Entire Review

I learned that I have a strong ability to adapt to all situations. I am now comfortable conversing in French and have gained a confidence and maturity that had evaded me previously. This was the best experience I have ever had. Emmie_5858 - The College of William and Mary View Entire Review

On one hand, learned that being a foreigner can be more frusterating than fun, learned that misunderstandings are fact of life, specifically within the context of a foreign culture... On the other hand, learned that the most fundamental of human experience and emotion surpass any language or culture barrier.... Lindsey S - Valparaiso University View Entire Review
I think that it would have been more worthwhile if it had not been so isolated. I feel that by having their own "university" Boston takes away from the experience of French classes and a more global outlook. Kate C - Trinity University View Entire Review
My French improved dramatically. I learned more than I could ever have imagined in general. However, I wish that I had had more time for traveling to the rest of Europe like the other Valpo study abroad programs. Although it required a ton of work, it was definitely worthwhile.
