What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Definitely worthwhile. I gained great knowledge of the Middle East, improved at local and FusHa Arabic, got to know more about the culture, and make great friends.

I think no matter how hard a westerner tries they will never be fully integrated into the culture.
