I got to write a lot of music because I was so annoyed with how the program was run. I was staying with old people an hour out of paris in a particularly uninteresting part of France and had nothing to do, so I wrote a lot on my own.

There were a lot of problems I had with the program, but I've already sent them into the program in their course evaluation. The administration of the program was fine, nothing to write home about. |

No
It doesn't help you create contemporary music, unless you're very interested in experimental sounding things. We were never able to compose any music, instead learning to use software for the majority of the time. That software does nothing any other software can't do, but we spent most of the time learning just how to use it and a much smaller amount of time actually doing anything music related. |

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I wish I hadn't have taken this program. I built my summer around my participation in this program - I participated in two other study abroad programs - and really it was just a waste of my time. |
