What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I can't imagine what my life would be like without having done this. It was one of the best choices I've ever made.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The food in through the residencia was disgusting. It needs a lot of work, especially for the amount of money everyone is paying to live there. The area is super safe and I always felt fine walking around at night, even occasionally by myself.

* Food:

I was rarely pleased with what we were eating. It was usually very bad tasting and unhealthy with few options. Also, we were the only ones in our program who were not provided with dinner on Sunday nights, forcing us to spend money we may or may not have had on dinner.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

safety was never an issue, but I got sick 4 or 5 times while I was there. the bathrooms were always disgusting when we went out and most did not have soap, so it's no wonder I was sick all the time.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? not really sure what I would change.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
