It was extremely worthwhile. It was an eye opening adventure, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It was an opportunity of a lifetime, and I have moments I wish I was still there. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Russian. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
All in all it was great, and I would definitely do it again. I had wanted to go to Russia for a long time, and it was so neat to finally be there. The program did a great job organizing excursions around St. Petersburg and outside the city, and I left feeling I knew the city. A student - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned who I was as a person, and what I can overcome. I learned what kinds of people make real friends, and what kinds of people are worth my time. I learned how to cope with things I can not control, and how to hunker down and get through unpleasant times. I learned to find joy in the little things and life, and I learned t... It was definitely worthwhile. You learn if you love or hate the place in this process, and I want to go back there if I can and possibly work. Tansinee C - Tufts University View Entire Review
I learned a lot about Russian culture as well as language, and really some idea of what it is to be Russian. At the same time, I thought a lot about America and what it means to be American, as well as myself and what I thought about some of these things. Michael R - Trinity University View Entire Review

It was definitely worthwhile! I got to experience a whole new culture, meet new people, speak a beautiful language! It completely changed my outlook on life. I loved absolutely everything about the city. I now plan to return to St. Petersburg upon graduation from Brandeis, in order to study and receive my master's degree in Russ... It is very hard to adjust in the beginning, but it only gets better from there! Emily S - Fordham University View Entire Review
I learned how to be more independent. A student - Trinity University View Entire Review
If anything, I learned about myself the most. Who am I and what is important to me. Entering a new culture challenges your views and opinions, because you are no longer surrounded by people who think and feel similarly to you. A student - The University of Texas at Austin View Entire Review
I gained a lot from the culture. Yes it was worthwhile ultimately. tutupack4 - University of Rochester View Entire Review
My Russian abilities significantly increased thanks to my time in Russia, even if I made more language improvement outside of my classes rather than in them. I also had the great opportunity to travel both in Russia and the surrounding area, which I will never forget. Erica J - Trinity University View Entire Review
