About
The Valencia Program offers two tracks of study. All students will take a course on the History, Politics, and Culture of Spain and Portugal (INTA credit Politic of Western Europe). Students not participating in biology undergraduate research labs in Valencia will all take a course on the Economic and Political Crisis in Europe (INTA or MGT credit). The students will choose a third course on either Mediterranean Ecology (Biology credit) or the Political Economy of Development (International Affairs or MGT credit). This innovative program allows for a total group of about 20 students, along with a small elective class in Biology OR International Affairs with approximately 10 students each. The basic program is 7 weeks and 9 credit hours. Students also have the option of staying in Valencia an additional 3 weeks (10 weeks total) and earning up to 12 credit hours, including intensive Spanish (3 credits). The 10-week option is suitable for the International Plan program at Georgia Tech. Biology students can earn 9-credit hours over ten weeks including undergraduate research in biology labs.
