Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The teaching style is somewhat similar to Hollins classes system. The teachers are very helpful inside and outside classroom. I wish our classes were not in a dorm's common room.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I think the London program director is willing to listen and help with the students with classes or personal issues. I think though the classes are limited to only to Hollins students. During the spring term in London, a lot of students didn't really get to know any local British students to really learn about the local culture. I love the classes and the teaching style. However, the classroom is the dormitory's common room which is not what I expected.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I stayed with a host family but things did not work out. With the help of the program director, I moved to a private student dorm in London which is at a great location and easy to get to classes.

* Food:

I usually went out for lunch and dinner so I get to try many international food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I love the little trips that the school arranged but we went to lots of history landmarks. However, as I mentioned above, lots of students didn't get to know anyone outside the Hollins London classroom because the classes are limited to Hollins students.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
