What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
London's the most global city in the world, if it hasn't changed your perspectives on life than you didn't go out enough. All I know is that I want to move here. One day.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

It's explained very thoroughly and there's a reason why we have an Orientation not just for classes at Hollins Abroad London, but at London Metropolitan should anyone wish to take classes there. Everything's pretty easy and if there's any confusion, the Director of the programme is always at hand.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Expectations were totally met, the on-site Administration is completely wonderful and provides ample support and access to everyone. There's never a time when they aren't around. Our on-site administration is probably one of the best things about the programme.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

It's London. There's students everywhere so living on a budget is quite easy as people tend to cater to large amounts of the public--and students definetely make up quite a large amount in this city. Any kind of guidebook can show you the rest.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We have an overnight trip to York coming up and I'm super excited! As for social aspects, leave the house and have a wander. Meeting people here is the easiest!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

No vaccines needed, health insurance was provided by the University and as long as students are wise about where to go and what to do--also applicable in the United States--there's literally nothing to worry about.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The support from the UK faculty and Director, it's nice to know you have someone to go to in case of a question or an emergency.
* What could be improved?
  • I personally can't think of anything!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Pack light, you'll buy loads. Remember to go out all the time, you won't meet anyone if you keep to the same routine! Keep receipts! Walk when possible, it's more fun really. Night Buses are your friends.
