I saw a lot and learned a lot. I learned how different a culture can be from your own, even if people speak the same language.

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
I found most of the classes unchallenging. The experiences I appreciated the most were class field trips, exploring on my own, and talking with my host family. |
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Sara was amazing. She was knowledgable, eager to help, and exceedingly friendly. |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
They treated me like a family member. I loved living here. |
* Food: |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
I loved going to Windsor Castle. I loved the dinner we had with the teachers at the beginning of the semester. The trip to Bath was less enjoyable. I did not appreciate being herded around and lectured to about architecture. I liked Bath though, and I think students should continue visiting it. |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
|
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
|
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |

Individual Course Reviews

Course Department: | |
Instructor: | Jon |
Instruction Language: | English |
Comments: | I liked the field trips, but the course tried to cover way to much information in one semester. I was completely lost for the first half because I was a beginner and Jon talked to us very very quickly during lectures. He graded us too harshly, in my opinion. |

Comments: | This class was a complete waste of my time. The teacher analyzed passages for us and then made us talk about how lovely it was. The rest of the time we just read out loud without analyzing at all. |

Comments: | This was my favorite course. Catherine has been doing this for many years, so she was very organized. I loved visiting art museums and examining paintings up close. She challenged us to think very analytically about each painting. |
