About
In order to promote our international exchange activities across universities, we aim to formulate Center of Excellence for research and education, developing the Organization for the Planning and Coordination of International Affairs, established on April 1, 2002, and promoting strategic international exchange activities following the two foundations of our international strategy.
Asia orientation led by historical and geographical consequences: By enforcing partnerships with major Asian universities in tune with the rise of Asia due to the fast economic growth of East Asian countries in recent years, with the role of Japan in Asia particularly in mind, we hope to increase the status of our university in Asia as well as the presence of Asia as a pole against the bipolar system of North America and Europe.
Formulation of Center of Excellence (COE): Increasing the presence of Asia and looking at the global intellectual movement, we hope to increase the presence of our university as Center of Excellence (COE) by utilizing the human and physical resources which we can provide, such as research achievements beyond the global standards transmitted from Asia based on Asia’s own society, culture, and history, and appealing to the world.
