I really enjoyed my time in England and definitely had a lot of fun.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I think that it was pretty easy to budget and food was fairly affordable, but for people who are not used to managing their own funds might have issues with this.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I spent around $50/ week
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cook your own food! Eating out gets so expensive.

  • Learned a lot
* What could be improved?
  • Helping Midd students connect more with English people.
  • Lectures are long and not normally engaging.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? How important relationships are for doing well. Even though you don't always expect this, having friends is important when trying to thrive in any way. I think that once I built more friendships I began to do better in school.

Individual Course Reviews

Course Name/Rating:

Shakespeare I

Course Department: English
Instructor: Julie
Instruction Language: English
Comments: I participated in this class less often than I wanted to, which I feel like had nothing to do with the instructor. I honestly didn't feel like the class was super welcoming for people who didn't know much about Shakespeare, and I felt like it was a little bit on the boring side. I did thoroughly enjoy my classmates presentations.
Credit Transfer Issues: NO.
