The Avid AdventurerThe wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal. |

Comments: | Very interesting class, teacher very knowledgable and prepared. Not overly challenging, but rewarding. No field trips. The homework was often to investigate social issues in China, and then this information was shared and discussed with the class, and compared with life in the US. I participated in class much more than at home institution. Homework for every class, every 2 weeks a small test, 2 exams throughout semester. |

Comments: | Teacher very knowledgable and extremely well-prepared. Not overly challenging, but gained lots of knowledge on the history of consumerism in modern China, not as much focus on Business language. No field trips. The homework was often to prepare a presentation about any topics related to China and economics, and then present to the class and discuss with the other students. I participated in class much more than at home institution, since it was 3 people. Homework for every class, every 2 weeks a small test, 2 exams throughout semester. |

Comments: | Class somewhat challenging, most difficult but rewarding aspect was writing an essay each week in Chinese about the places we visited on field trips. Teachers knowledgeable and well-prepared, and I participated more than at home institution. We had presentations every week that weren't graded, homework and quizzes in class, and papers. Final project was a movie. |

Comments: | Rather challenging, readings on topic of my choosing (women in China) usually were somewhat difficult. One relevant field trip. Teacher knowledgeable and well-prepared. I participated a lot since it was a one-on-one class. Assessed through homework, quizzes, presentations, and essays. |
