Yes yes yes it was worthwhile. I learned so much about being a smart traveller and about how to integrate to another culture.

This was the most amazing experience I've ever had. I absolutely fell in love with the country, the people and the land.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 0 - I only had to spend my own money once for a souvenir. I was able to use only stipend for the rest of my expenses including food and housing during ISP.

  • The guest lectures could be more connected.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Not to follow the packing list. I followed the list and had way too many shirts and pants, and did not have the proper outdoor gear such as rain or snow pants.

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
