I gained tons of confidence, felt that I grew a lot because of what I was exposed, gained new amazing friends, gained knowledge about a country I can go back and tour people around a city, learned the benefits of my citizenship and it was just another learning experience thats a must, in order to understand. It was definitely worthwhile, and I'm glad that I did SIT, even if it wasn't as challenging as I expected. Peru is an amazing country--it has jungle, mountains, beaches, everything and the people wonderful. A student - Illinois Wesleyan University View Entire Review
Traveling is always an incredible, eye-opening experience. I am better at speaking Spanish, went on wonderful excursions, and made good friends. I did not learn much. Petra N - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I think the biggest gain from the program was the ISP experience of doing original research immersed in the topic and culture that I was studying. It boosted my confidence in operating in Spanish. Made great friends. Worthwhile. Dylan B - Tulane University View Entire Review

I learned a lot about Peruvian perceptions and lifestyle, as well as a lot about the environment in Perú (particularly about oil/gas companies in the rainforest, etc.). I also wouldn't trade the friendships and family I had for anything! andrea.foster.1297 - Trinity University View Entire Review
