I learned the value and importance of not talking a lot. While studying abroad, I learned that verbal communication, while a precious gift, is not always necessary. I also learned that I can live a simpler life. A student studying abroad with Spanish Studies Abroad (CC-CS): Seville - Semester, Year or Summer in Spain
"Was it worthwhile?" Worthwhile is an understatement. I am so lucky to have been able to study in Seville with the people and the host family that I had. I am amazed at how much fun I had and how much I learned. I will always be grateful, I will always love my second home, and of course I have incurable wanderlust. What didn't I gain from this experience? I learned how to accept and immerse myself into a new culture, speak a new language, navigate cities (without WiFi), be willing to try new things, more about who I am. This experience was beyond incredible and more than worthwhile. - Susquehanna University View Entire Review

Study abroad is the most worthwhile thing I did while in college. I feel like it is one of those things that everyone should do, especially the people that feel they don't need to or don't want to. I learned so much about myself, I challenged myself, I explored new places, met new people and improved my Spanish. This is truly a ... - Linfield College View Entire Review

I not only improved my language skills and learned a lot about the countries history, I figured out how to be an active participant in a culture and language very distinct from my own. It's hard to put it all down in writing, but in short I realized that there's a lot more to this world than the Texas bubble that I've lived in. I learned that we shouldn't take for granted all that the world has to show us, and that if ever offered the opportunity to explore it again, I would take it with no questions asked.
