About

President's Welcome

If you are thinking of studying abroad, whether it is for a year or a semester, I would invite you to consider as your first choice Carlow College, Ireland’s oldest Catholic third level college. We believe that we offer the best Irish Experience course in the country specially designed to cater to the needs of international learners who want to understand Irish culture.

Over the past decade students from colleges in Iowa, Illinois, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin have enjoyed our Irish Experience course and have become adept at music and dance, familiar with Irish Literature and Art, explored the rich Irish landscape, visited the marvellous neolithic and early Christian sites which dot the country and experience the New Ireland as it adapts to rapid global change.

Carlow College is located in the heart of a student friendly town of 25,000 inhabitants, six thousand of whom are students at Carlow College or at the Carlow Institute of Technology.
