Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA): Meet the Media
This was great for me as I will be looking for a job soon. We met with multiple media corporations and I gained a passion for a specific job that I hope to gain. Also, I feel in love with London and am open to working abroad to widen my search and life experience.

* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Stayed at St. Marys University in East London. The nearest underground is Mile End. This is a few stops away from central London where most of the nightlife is. This is not a problem unless you stay out late and have to bus back to the university. |
| * Food: |
Take Away food from the grocery stores and cafes is very fresh. Mainly consists of sandwiches, fruit and sushi. |
|
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Kings of Leon concert in Hyde Park was a great opportunity to enjoy live music and to interact with other young adults from London. |

|
Finances
|
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
| Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | Remember to keep in mind the currency exchange of the country you visit. I needed money for lunch and dinner. You can eat lunch for cheap by just grabbing something to take away at grocery store. Spent around 10-15 pounds for sit down dinners. Also, see what your trip includes as for free time events because we spent alot of money on threatre and concert tickets. |
| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Over budget your money so you are not stressed out about running out before the trip is over. |
Language
| How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? | None |
| If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition? |
