Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Great! Brilliant professors that you get to have a close relationship with

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The administration is great and so helpful! They do a really great job of offering a ton of extra activities and trips and they are so easy to talk to if you have any kind of problem at all, personal or academic

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

I didn't go out to eat much, but the food at the dorms and my host-moms cooking was delicious!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Everything! You are guaranteed to have a great time every weekend, there is so much to do and so many new places to explore! Don't limit yourself to the Americanized bars and clubs, explore some smaller Spanish places too!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

You just have to be aware. The orientation in the beginning will give you a lot of good advice on how to stay safe and things to look out for. Other than pick-pocketing I never knew of anyone being harmed in any other or violent way.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

The only thing that made this program not ideal is that it is an American university, so all classes are taught in english besides spanish classes. You really have to go out on your own to practice spanish!
