Overall Experience
It was 100% worthwhile. It was amazing to immerse yourself in a different culture. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
It opens your eyes, it puts life in perspective. Its not all about growing up, going to get a degree, job and settling down with a family in a white picket fence yard. It's a big world with amazing people, places, food and culture. You're doing yourself an injustice if you don't experience it - Temple University View Entire Review
I gained so much!! Wonderful American friends, and experiences that have opened me up and made me a more well-rounded person. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
It was extremely worthwhile! I think the biggest things I learned were personal- I felt so much personal growth and development, gained so much independence, and established my love and connection to the country. I also learned about living in someone else's home, how to overcome language and cultural barriers, in addition to ev... - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned a lot about the kind of person I was being on my own. The more of the world I saw, the more I realized how much I still had to see. While I wouldn't do the program again, it's really hard to have a bad experience abroad. - Trinity University View Entire Review
Of course it was worthwhile! My independence is definitely stronger and I'm more likely to take risks. Italy WILL make you fall in love with it. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
A student studying abroad with Temple University International Programs: Rome - Temple University in Rome
I realized how independent I am and how much I can handle. I was absolutely terrified to study abroad and leave my friends and family but I did so much better than I ever imagined was possible. I truly am not the same person as before so far as I am more self-reliant and confident in myself. Studying in Rome was truly an invalua... - Trinity University View Entire Review
Past Review A Roman Holiday
Abroad is the most amazing experience a college student can have. I would recommend everyone goes, gets out of their comfort zone, learns about living in another country and take a break from the regular college routine. - Fordham University View Entire Review
Past Review Amazing!!!
I have an even greater sense of independence Worth every penny and minute! - Fordham University View Entire Review
At the end of the day, I wouldn't have traded this experience for anything else in the world. It was the single greatest 3 months of my life. From traveling all over Rome, Italy and the rest of Europe, I can proudly say I have an increased appreciation for foreign culture and heritage. Although I was rather disappointed with the... - Fordham University View Entire Review
I learned how to trust myself more, make smarter decisions and to have fun. It was by far the best 3 months of my life, and I learned more than I could ever write down. - Fordham University View Entire Review
Past Review Ready To Rome?
I would say it was worthwhile. I feel different from how I use to think of the world. I appreciate what I have here in the U.S. more and understand, not entirely, different cultures. I think with any job that requires you to work over seas as an expatriate, it is important to understand the local culture. It creates avenues for ... - Trinity University View Entire Review
Definitely. I am so incredibly happy that I had this opportunity. I met so many great people and went to so many amazing places, I wouldn't trade those experiences for anything. I definitely am more willing to try new things and I am even more curious about different cultures than I was before going abroad. My future plans defin... - Fordham University View Entire Review
I learned that the world is a very big place with very different views on everything. I met people from South America, Australia,Southeast Asia, and honestly everywhere. I gained a new perspective on life and how cultures differ. I think it was worthwhile and I think everyone should experience it! - Temple University View Entire Review
Past Review The Best!
I learned how to be more independent and to appreciate cultures other than my own. I had a great experience! - Brandeis University View Entire Review
It was an eye-opening experience that I am so appreciative I was able to have. I definitely became a more independent and mature me because I went. It was most certainly worthwhile, I think everyone should have the chance to live abroad for a while, and be able to come back with a broader view of the world and life itself. There... - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learnt a lot about the world. Definitely worthwhile - Brandeis University View Entire Review
The program and the experience were both incredibly worthwhile. Although Temple Rome does not focus on an immersive Italian experience, the classes teach you a lot about Italian culture and they often had visits from other Italian students and guest lecturers. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Past Review Great Semester

Absolutely worthwhile, the experience was beyond incredible. Just being able to live in a foreign country for 4 months is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity - Fordham University View Entire Review
I learned different aspects of different cultures and I learned to appreciate some while also recognizing how great America is. I took away things for what they were and not how they compared to the United States. It was definitely worthwhile. - Fordham University View Entire Review
the most worthwhile experience possible, I learned infinite things about myself as well the Italian culture and I cannot wait to return! - Fordham University View Entire Review
Mind opened up to other cultures. - Fordham University View Entire Review
Past Review My Time In Rome
Studying abroad in Rome completely changed my life. I gained a huge amount of confidence, learned so much about myself, and met so many amazing people from all over the world. The worst part about studying abroad was getting on the plane to come home! - Temple University View Entire Review
Enormously. I came back to the U.S. with a greater appreciation for our economy, resources, and way of life. I also grew in my fondness and understanding of European culture. It was a win-win situation. - Fordham University View Entire Review
