Contemporary Caribbean Studies is a fully immersive, semester-long study abroad program that includes enrollment in the University of the West Indies, on campus housing and several excursions.
The program is built around a course of the same name and students who enroll will spend the semester engaging in comprehensive examination of the cultural, social and demographic antecedents and how those connect to the current socio-economic landscape of the islands. Contemporary Caribbean Studies is currently focused on Trinidad and Tobago and includes a mid semester study tour to Costa Rica in Semester 1 (Fall) and Jamaica in Semester 2 (Spring).
This is an ideal program for students enrolled in any tertiary education institute who has a personal interest in the Caribbean.
