An Exploration of Cultural Diversity: Summer Hybrid Field Intensive (3 U.S. Credits) 

Program Overview:

Embark on a transformative hybrid summer field study program with Toucan Education Programs. This intensive features a 4-day virtual pre-program followed by a 14-day immersive field study in Belize, allowing you to earn 3 U.S. Transferable Academic Credits.

You will explore dynamic themes of diaspora, migration, and identity, engaging directly with over six distinct cultural groups, including Indigenous Maya, Garinagu, Mestizo, and Mennonite. Travel from the Cayo District to the southern coast and develop essential intercultural expertise and a deep understanding of Belize's rich heritage.

Academics and Outcomes:

  • Academic Credit: Earn 3 U.S. Transferable Academic Credits from a U.S. university.
  • Hybrid Structure: Start virtually (4 days) and finish with a 14-day immersive field experience in Central America.
