About
Business is increasingly shaped by global financial, commercial, and political forces. Students with global business experience have a competitive advantage in the job market and are a valuable asset to employers. This program will instruct undergraduate students about the risks and opportunities of doing business in the European Union (EU), one of the largest single markets in the world, with a special focus on London and the United Kingdom.
This course will address a variety of important topics relevant to business in the EU, instructed from a US perspective. These will include market entry strategies, EU/US business culture and relations, dispute resolution, business ethics, contracting strategies, legal and regulatory issues, human resource management, and financial challenges. The course will also engage the surrounding political environment with a discussion of the Euro, the EU as a trans-national structure, and global trade.
