It made me much more confident about my language abilities and increased my academic and personal independence. - Carleton College View Entire Review
Yes, I loved getting to see the whole country more or less. However, I only got to get to know locals toward the end of my program. I wish I got to practice Spanish more and interact with locals more! - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
January 17, 2023 Never A Dull Moment
My Spanish improved significantly over the course of this program. Specifically, learning Ecuadorianisms abroad was really fun and interesting because that's not something you can learn in a classroom. You get to really be a part of the community and culture with the host family system. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Yes, it was definitely worthwhile. I improved my spanish skills significantly; I learned how to travel on my own in a foreign country; I became more flexible as I navigated host-family relationships and differences of culture in general; and I saw how my development studies play out in real life. - Grinnell College View Entire Review
I've gained a lot of conversation Spanish practice and even the confidence to enter into a conversation, which I did not have before this. No plans are changed because I don't really have any plans. - Presbyterian College View Entire Review
