Definitely worth the time and money! Past Review
By A student (Corporate Governance, University of Texas - El Paso / UTEP) - abroad from 03/08/2015 to 03/15/2015 with
University of Texas El Paso: China - MBA Doing Business in China, Hosted by the Asia Institute
What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a greater appreciation for the country I live in but also a deeper understanding of another culture and government system. It was absolutely worthwhile, both personally and professionally. Gaining an understanding of different systems will not assist me as a business professional but as a human being.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | I would estimate I spent about $100 total on meals, etc. not covered by the trip. I spent more on gifts to bring home. |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | Definitely get currenty before you go on the trip from your bank so you have money on hand when you arrive. Try and find out about how much a meal costs to better prepare for meals not covered. Give yourself extra for you will see a lot you want to do/buy. |
