I learned so much and experienced even more. I was able to make lasting friendships and explore Ireland and other locations I had always wanted to visit in Europe. I expanded my independence and gained confidence and communication skills. I was able to study international business in classes comprised of students from all over t... - University of Maine - Orono View Entire Review
Past Review Awesome!!
I spent a lot of time traveling, so I learned independence. And adapting to setbacks while traveling or abroad. - University of Tulsa View Entire Review
I'm taking many lessons back with me from my time here but one thing I really think impacted me was the level of responsibility so much freedom has. You have to manage your time and money all while exploring a brand new country away from everyone you know. And it's totally worth it. - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
Life lessons learned. Self discovery, new culture, experience of a lifetime. - California State University - Chico View Entire Review
Yes, it was a much needed brake from school. - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
A student studying abroad with USAC: Cork - University College Cork Undergraduate Courses
I learned that people are more alike than they are different, that there are much more important global issues than the ones Americans tend to focus on politically, and that traveling isn't as scary as you may think. My experience abroad was 100% worthwhile. - University of Maine - Orono View Entire Review
It was very worthwhile. The city was excellent and the opportunities were endless. - California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo View Entire Review
I had a great time and I learned a lot about the European culture. IT was cool taking International marketing abroad. - University of the Pacific View Entire Review
I gained a more culturally diverse perspective on politics and how the world works. I met the most spectacular people, and will have life long friends from around the world. I wouldn't take back a single euro spent, pint drank, or trip taken. - University of North Dakota View Entire Review
I absolutely loved studied abroad and very glad that I decided to go to Cork. If I had the change to go again, I would in a heart beat. - Mount Union College View Entire Review

About

The Cork program offers students the opportunity to enroll in a range of courses in a variety of disciplines at the University College Cork (UCC), one of the oldest universities in Ireland. You may stay for a semester or a full year. Ireland remains a unique country with its own traditions, values, and views of the world. Time in Ireland will challenge you personally, open your eyes to different ways of looking at the current topics in our world, and enable you to experience Irish culture and history. The University College Cork has an international reputation for its research work, particularly in the areas of fundamental and technological science. We recommend you enroll in Early Start courses, unique to the university. Some of the early start courses offered are Irish Archaeology, History and Modern Ireland, Literatures in Ireland, Irish Folklore and Ethnology, Management and Marketing in the European Union, and Music in Ireland—all of which give you insight into Ireland’s past and present. Many courses also include field trips which bring alive the course material. Certificate and Diploma opportunities provide additional opportunities for in-depth, multidisciplinary study.
