My experience living and going to school in Turin was absolutely amazing. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. The experiences you have and the things you learn in the classroom, traveling and living in a foreign country are invaluable. My advisors at Chico State and at my host university were so helpful and made the e... - California State University - Chico View Entire Review

A student studying abroad with USAC: Torino - International Business, Art/Architecture, and Italian Studies
I would say that most of the knowledge and experience I gained from my time abroad came from my trips on the weekends. It was the best experience of my life, but I don't think the program itself contributed a lot to that (it also didn't detract too much from it). Even though I attended classes and got decent grades and actually ... - California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo View Entire Review

Study abroad helped me to improve my personal grow. In my case my parents are very protective so looking myself abroad away from family and friends allowed me to resolve issues and think before taking a decision because there iwas no going to be mommy o daddy who were going to came help me out. I became more independent thanks t... - University of Nevada – Las Vegas View Entire Review
Past Review Torino è Bella!
My experience abroad changed my perspective on Italy, culture, and personal aspects of my life. Italian food in America just isn't as good as the real deal in Italy. Italians are some of the nicest most lively people I've ever met. Sharing the Italian experience with other study abroad students created lifelong bonds of friends... - University of Maryland - College Park View Entire Review
Study abroad for me was extremely worth while. My time abroad opened my eyes to all the beautiful and amazing things, cultures and people that this world has to offer. Yes, study abroad helped open my eyes to the world. I recently returned from an internship in Rome which I can honestly say I probably would have never pursued had it not been for my time spent in Torino. It makes you want to challenge yourself and keep pushing to go somewhere new and exciting. It opens you up to new people and ... - University of Nevada – Las Vegas View Entire Review
Because of studying abroad in Italy, I have decided to continue with learning Italian and hopefully live in Italy again. I would like to live abroad for my job and I've decided to get a graduate degree in international diplomacy or relations so I can help other Americans deal in a compassionate and understanding way towards peo... - University of Nevada - Reno View Entire Review

About

The Torino program is ideal for students who are interested in studying International Business, Art/Architecture/Design, and Italian Studies in an exciting, cosmopolitan setting. Named the Youth Capital of Europe, Torino is an excellent location to study and practice the Italian language and to experience Italy’s rich culture away from the crowded tourist areas. Torino is home to many prominent international companies, and this program provides an excellent opportunity to meet European students and business people in a leading center for European business and business education. Touted as Italy’s most sustainable city, Torino is home to two major parks: the Valentino along the Po River and Pellerina which is Italy’s most extended green space. Torino is a candidate city for Europe’s Green Capital. Torino was also recently awarded the title of European Capital of Sport! This program offers three diverse academic areas: International Business, Architecture/Design/Art and Italian Studies. You may choose to study for one semester, a full year. or one or both of the summer sessions. All students are required to take an intensive Italian language course during the first six weeks of the semester to help them integrate into their surroundings. The Torino program combines academic coursework with practical learning, tours and field trips to create an integrated cultural experience. The main square of the city center, Piazza Castello, reflects the entire architectural history of Torino from its ancient Roman roots to the global business giant it is today. Torino’s rich combination of old and new styles makes the city the perfect location to study art and architecture. It is home to several Savoy royal palaces and residences named World Heritage Sites, as well as the home of FIAT and leading car designers Tjaarda, Giugiaro, and Pininfarina. Torino was named the first world capital of design for its creative energy and innovative production, and its strategic geographical location makes other European centers (Rome, Paris, Berlin, Geneva) easily accessible.
