Overall Experience
The experience was definitely worthwhile, but what I learned is hard to put into words. The experience of going to a foreign country for the first time, living there on my own without family to rely on, and learning more about the modern culture of my heritage while exploring the remnants of the ancient world was just absolutely... - Lewis-Clark State College View Entire Review

About

As the "birthplace of democracy," students can walk in the same footsteps of the world's greatest philosophers like Plato and Aristotle. With a recorded history of over 3,400 years, the history of Athens is almost incomparable to any other city in the world. While the remains of ancient Athens is still prevalent throughout the city today, the city is as young and vibrant as ever. Students will gain access to the city's countless museums, cafes and tavernas, local shops and farmers markets, not to mention the country's famous Greek islands!

  • In Athens, students are a short trip away from the beach, hiking, the countryside, and the islands. Plus, Greece is very centrally located in Europe, making it easy to travel to other countries.

  • Students will gain access to the city's countless museums, cafes and ‘tavernas,’ local shops and farmers markets as well as the country's famous Greek islands.

  • Known as the “birthplace of democracy,” students can walk in the same footsteps of the world's greatest philosophers like Plato and Aristotle.

  • Courses offered in School of Arts & Sciences, School of Fine & Performing Arts, and School of Business

  • Access to all athletic facilities, which served as U.S. High Performance Training Center in 2004 Olympics
