Bilbao, Spain (pop. 354,000) is located in the northern part of the country, within País Vasco. This capital of the Biscay Province provides you with an opportunity for an amazing adventure abroad. Smart, cosmopolitan, and just minutes from the coast, Bilbao is an ideal place to study. As a cultural epicenter, you will delve not only into Spanish culture, but Basque and French cultures as well. Bilbao is a contemporary city with access to mother nature in all directions. Its combination of cosmopolitan and outdoor activities is a great recipe for an exceptional experience abroad. Regardless of your interests, you will have a multitude of activities in which to partake: exploring art/history museums, hiking, sightseeing, surfing, biking, shopping, or socializing with locals!

  • Deusto is very well-connected to Bilbao and has beautiful views of the city and surrounding mountains 

  • Courses for STEM or business degrees available in both English and Spanish with international and local students. 

  • Bilbao is known for its world-renowned architecture, including its Guggenheim Museum, designed by Frank Gehry

WorldStrides Scholarships

WorldStrides will award one scholarship each year to a participating student for the full list price of the ISA program. The GO Full-Ride Scholarship can be used for an ISA program and covers the full program fee. In order to be considered for this scholarship, all applicants must apply and meet the eligibility requirements for one of the other ISA scholarships by the deadline. There will be one GO Full-Ride Scholarship awarded per year.

Deadlines:
Summer: February 28th Fall: April 30 Winter/Spring: October 30th

Guidelines/Requirements:
• Be accepted to a WorldStrides study abroad, internship, or community engagement program. • Have at least a 3.25 cumulative GPA. • Have completed at least one year of college level foreign language or the equivalent. Courses must appear on official transcript. • Be enrolled in second or third year of undergraduate education at a U.S. university/college at time of program participation. • Be on financial aid. FAFSA Student Aid Report (SAR) and home university Award Letter/form required. **Please refer to the ISA scholarship page for more information on guidelines/requirements.

We believe in expanding access and increasing opportunities for individuals from various backgrounds to become global learners by reducing financial barriers. This scholarship is intended for summer and semester students looking to create an impact on the world around them, bringing their own personal perspectives to an international experience.

2 x $1,000 for Summer Programs; 3 x $2,000 for Fall Programs; 3 x $2,000 for Winter/Spring Programs
