I did not give it 5 stars because of a couple major things: the mosquitos and lack of screens in our apartment; the mandatory language class; and most importantly because the study abroad was only a month long Marvin P - Saginaw Valley State University View Entire Review

My future plans now directly revolve around culutural impacts of my reseearch and I have applied for a grant to return to Italy! Kristen B - Arizona State University View Entire Review

ISA helped me to feel comfortable and at home in Florence almost immediately upon arrival. They didn't leave anything out of our orientation and offered numerous activities throughout the semester to get us involved with them in Florence and during our excursions. From the moment I got my acceptance letter til the time I flew ... Olivia S - University of Kentucky View Entire Review

I'm planning to travel across Europe with only a backpack as soon as I graduate college in a few months. Anyone who knows me would know that I may not have had the courage to go to so many new places without a plan and leave my entire life behind. After getting a taste of Italy, there is a fire inside me that can't be tamed unti... Rebecca C - University of California - Santa Cruz View Entire Review
Yes. I expected more out of it culturally. But it was enriching none the less! Chiara F - Trinity University View Entire Review

It's more than worth it! I considered myself internationally aware prior to my abroad experience, but nothing can give you a true international perspective about the world, another country, and even about The United state of America until you experience it. It has truly changed me in a number of ways with how I view things, wit... Kathleen I - Pittsburg State University View Entire Review

I learned so much about myself and about how I live when I have to be my own support structure. I am more independent now, and I think I have a much better idea of how to think about culture and about what it is to be in a culture and an active citizen of the world. My eyes have really opened up to how much there is to experienc... Kimberly A - The College of New Jersey View Entire Review
no. I didn't learn about new cultures living with Americans and the Italians all treated us like pieces of meat or ignorant foreigners which most of the group was. I enjoyed traveling on my own outside of Florence and meeting up with people from my home institution in other programs but wish I would have chosen a different progr... There are so many things that I gained from going abroad (to many in my opinion to even begin to discuss). It was the most memorable and best thing that I have ever been given the privilege of doing. I encourage everyone to go somewhere and really try to assimilate to the culture. Your life will not be the same. Samantha L - Austin College View Entire Review
Yes. I gained worldly experiences that can only be gained by getting out of the United States. However important this may be to me, I did fall slightly behind in my schooling back home. Lauren N - Western Washington University View Entire Review
Worth every penny!!! My experience taught me so much about myself and about another culture. I loved Florence and can't wait to go back. Made me want to look deeper into working abroad once I have my degree. Tara B - New Mexico State University View Entire Review
