A student studying abroad with Veritas Christian Study Abroad: Rome - Study Abroad and Missions Program
I learned a lot about myself, and how independent I could be. I had never felt like I was in the right place, at the right time, as I did in Rome. Going to Rome was worth every penny, sacrifice, and ANY effort I put towards it. - University of Texas - El Paso / UTEP View Entire Review

About

Roma, the Eternal City, the City of seven hills, Caput Mundi (head of the world): whatever you call it, one thing is for sure, Rome has an enormous wealth of history, culture and international influence. With its many neighborhoods and sprawling historical sites, Rome gives you the sense of being in a small town, despite the fact of being home to almost 3 million people. Students participating in the WorldStrides Rome Semester or Summer program can choose from a multitude of courses in English as well as several courses in the Italian language offered at the American University of Rome (AUR). All participants are in the classroom with North American and other international students. The wide range of course options available includes Art, Architecture, Economics, History, International Relations, Literature, Italian History and Language, Social Sciences, Political Science, Physical and Biological Sciences, Video production, and more!

Each Veritas program includes a Mission Mentor who disciples Veritas students in their experiences through prayer, reflection, and spiritual support as well as connects them to ministry partners and local churches. The International Mission/Service-Learning Practicum provides a great opportunity to reinforce the cross-cultural missions experience in-country. Students will receive college credits for the reflection activities, journal entries, and cultural research which enhance the overall experience.

Fall and Spring semester students will take one three-credit Veritas course and the International Missions/Service-Learning Practicum (1-3 credits). Students will have the opportunity to choose from a broad selection of other courses from the Roehampton University catalog to maintain full-time status and fulfill their academic requirements.
