College Consortium for International Studies / CCIS is a program provider offering 38 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Intensive Language, and Research abroad programs in 21 countries such as Sweden, Ireland, Germany, and Greece.
The College Consortium for International Studies, a partnership of colleges and universities -- two and four year, large and small, public and private, domestic and foreign -- encompasses the broad spectrum of international higher education. CCIS members sponsor a variety of programs, notably study abroad programs and professional development seminars for faculty and administrators, which are designed to enhance international/intercultural perspectives within the academic community.
Recognizing the value of such experiences in fostering global understanding and peaceful cooperation among nations in an increasingly interdependent and rapidly changing world, CCIS is committed to developing international dimensions as an integral part of collegiate education. CCIS works to build collaborative arrangements among institutions who share this commitment, and to facilitate linkages between member institutions and international partners. In all of its programs and activities, CCIS strives for a high level of academic excellence.

"The experience was definitely worthwhile. I'd never been out of the country, and this was a great way to experience another culture while having the support of a school. I learned a lot of French between going to school all day and interacting with people at night. "

"I learned about providing for myself (no help from friends or parents) in a foreign country through language barriers, currency differences, and cultural differences. Learning to navigate a city so different from mine (boats, no cars, lots of travel by foot) was a challenge at first but I grew to appreciate the differences. I fe..."

"I grew as a person. I became self-sufficient, learned that it was okay to be at peace with yourself, and that there's a whole world out there different than your own with so much to give and so many experiences to have. "
Kristyn G Truman State University
"I gained not only a love of travel but respect for other countries and ways of life. Being immersed in the culture was a gift in itself. I also learned, from being alone in a foreign country, who I am and that was amazing to see! "

"It was definitely worthwhile! Coming back to the US, one of the big differences I've noticed in myself is a greater willingness to step outside my comfort zone, try new things, and be adventurous. I also have a completely different view of the world. It is so big, and there are so many people and places. The US may be a big coun..."

"Absolutely! I learned a lot about France but also about cultures from all around the world since the students in my class were from all parts of the globe. This was my first time out of America and really made me want to keep traveling. I've seen only a small part of the world and this has made me want to keep exploring."
