Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1872 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, Venezuela, The United Kingdom, and Ireland.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"Being a part of the Heritage Greece program was undoubtedly an experience I'll tell my kids about. I deeply appreciate, to this day, the opportunity to have traveled and explore the culture I hold so dear, with other Greek-American students."

A student Hofstra University
"This experience was entirely worthwhile and it didn't hurt that the backdrop to it all was gorgeous Maastricht. Nicole H University of the Pacific
"The experience abroad was invaluable and irreplaceable for me. Even if I were to travel to Seoul again I don't think it would be the same. It may still be great, but not the same, so this was 100% worthwhile for me. "
A student Brandeis University
"U of M’s highly impersonal environment challenged me to use untapped independence and self-reliance in order to connect with my professors and understand the material. The consequences were well worth the effort, as my professors seemed to recognize the perseverance, encouraging them to be more amendable. Being evaluated by na..."
Briana B Ithaca College
"My communication skills are so much better. Reassuring myself that I can survive in the real world. It was definitely the best experience of my life. "I cannot begin to describe all that I gained from my time abroad. A student Wellesley College
"I learned how to push myself, how to try, and how to let go of silly things. It was the most worthwhile experience of my life."

"I learned more about myself by being put into situations in which I didn't have the crutches I was used to (like constant contact with old friends, familiar people, social expectations). It was an incredibly worthwhile experience."
A student William Jewell College
