Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1872 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, Venezuela, The United Kingdom, and Ireland.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"I learned a ton, I made a lot of new friends, I loved playing Ultimate on the UTS team. I went to Uni games. Overall I had a very unique experience here and I loved it. It was a great experience. "

"While I learned a little in the classes, just living here helped me learn a lot. Cliche as it is, living in another country for some time kicks you forcefully out of your comfort zone and that experience is amazing. It's tough, it's not what you expect, and it makes you react. For me, that's awesome, to some it scares the hell o..."
A student University of the Pacific

"This is an absolutely impossible question to answer. I've begun to see my life through "Pre-Ireland" and "Post-Ireland" viewpoints. I learned so much about myself, my interests, my desires, my possibilities, and my friends. I wouldn't trade it for ten sacks of diamonds. So yes, it was worthwhile - though that is an understatemen..."
A student Presbyterian College
"I gained insights into a different culture and was able to see europe. "
will.lewis.714 Presbyterian College
"I learned to be more independent and to stay on top of my academics. I did not feel that I learned as much as I could have though, simply because of the class structure. Having class once a week makes it more difficult to make connections between lectures, and it is harder to stay focused. I loved traveling, but even in Londo..."
A student Presbyterian College
"Always keep a positive attitude and go into it with an open mind, you'll get to try a lot more that way. It was absolutely worthwhile and I would go back in a heartbeat."
A student University of North Dakota
"Of course it was worthwhile. It may not have been exactly what I wanted all the time and perhaps I would have chosen a different program if I could have, but I have now had this experience and have grown and learned more about myself because of it. So, I can't say that it wasn't worthwhile, because it is now a part of my life. "
A student Barnard College
"I learned that I want to go back to Korea"
A student Marywood University

A student University of Hawaii - Manoa
"I learned how to be independent, how to create great relationships with people who you do not have much in common with, how to embrace different cultures, and how to appreciate all the experiences we were given. It was definitely worthwhile."
A student Illinois State University
"It was definitely worth while. I know it's cliche, but it really is an experience of a life-time where you make new friends away from your home, try new things, travel and explore places you never thought you would go to, and so on. Best decision you could make in your college career. Don't hesitate. Just DO it ;-) "
A student San Jose State University
"I learned so much about myself and what I am capable of. It was the most worthwhile experience I have ever had. I would recommend EVERYONE to study abroad."
A student Illinois State University
"I learned more about how to live on my own and what it may be like to live in a big city (I didn't live in a big city while abroad but some of the experiences are similiar to those that you might experience in one). And, yes, I would say it was worth while."
A student Illinois State University
"Gained new friends and an appreciation for European cultures. Yes."
A student Illinois State University

"I have gained a new outlook on life that connects my life with those in the most oppressed parts of the world. My spiritual life flourished as a result of this experience and I look forward to bringing all these insights back to the Fordham community. My heart feels ready to take on the world and show it that it can still change..."
