Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1872 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, International Summer Schools, Turkey, and Slovakia.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"I gained independence, being able to travel alone in NZ and explore. I came to NZ not knowing anyone - with no one from my school coming with me - and I am so thankful for that because I was really pushed out of my comfort zone to meet new people. I met incredible people that I will continue to keep in touch with - totally worth..."

"I've learned that the environment/society we live in dictate our beliefs and there is no universal morality, what we "think" is right or wrong is just that, a thought that is conditioned through our society and experiences. This experience has really opened my mind to be accepting of other cultures and philosophies, definitely w..."

A student The University of Texas at Austin
"It's weird to admit, but I became aware of the fact that "people are people" no matter where you go. Just because someone grew up across the world in a completely different environment doesn't make that person impossible to relate to or befriend. Cultures, religions, customs; they can differentiate people groups...but at the end..."

A student The University of Texas at Austin
"One of the greatest skills I learned was how to travel and manage my own experience. I had so few field trips that I made sure to travel as much as I could, which forced me to plan ahead and budget, but also to jump on chances to go new places that weren't exactly planned for but were still worthwhile to see. With the ease of tr..."

"As my first time being abroad, it was an incredible experience. Being able to learn about a whole other culture and then through that learn about my own. "I felt like I was able to really connect with the history of London through all of my museum visits, tours and my Shakespeare: Themes and Presentation class.
