"Yes. I've always wanted to stay for an extended period of time in a foreign country so it was perfect for that. It has given me a perspective outside the U.S. that everyone should have. It hasn't changed my future plans."
Kevin R The University of Texas at Austin
"The study abroad experience was a learning experience. Not just on how to be more independent and responsible, but how to be cautious of all things that come with the host country. I gained an insight of the politics and culture of the country. It was very interesting to have interacted with Faculty from the program who were wil..."
Bryan G The University of Texas at Austin
"I loved studying abroad in Buenos Aires, but I didn't like my program. I made great friends, learned about a new culture, traveled a lot, had a wonderful time. "
Lauralee S The University of Texas at Austin
"I loved my experience and I could not have asked for a better 7 weeks. I loved the Spanish mindset and culture so much that I could have lived there for a much longer period of time. It really opened my eyes to the world in a way that is sometimes difficult in America."
Charlotte H The University of Texas at Austin
"You become of aware of the Catalan culture immediately. My experience has made me think of how amazing it is to live in a place for an academic year, and how we adapt. I want to go back as of now. I want to live there some day in the future; it's where I feel the most content. The program is just a means to get there, to take co..."

"Now I definitely want to study abroad again, if I get the chance. It changed my perception of Eastern Europe for the better. I'm so glad I did it. I had the greatest time and I'm sure that view is unaminous within our group."
Devin W The University of Texas at Austin
"I have become more aware of cultural differences and how attitudes can be so entirely different and shape a culture. I am a lot better at handling novel situations with a minimum of frustration. I love learning about other cultures, and it was fantastic to be immersed in a different culture."
Laura B Rice University
"My experience was worthwhile, but not because of my program but because I made the best of everything and took my experience into my own hands. I loved my time abroad. It has definitely improved my cultural awareness. But it did nothing for my academic life, knowledge, or interests. "
Christina V The University of Texas at Austin
"A new outlook on me, America, the world, and other people and cultures. "

"Yes, my study abroad experience was incredibly worthwhile. I learned to conquer my fear of heights atop Sydney Tower and while climbing a glacier in neighboring New Zealand, and even slept under the stars in just a sleeping bag in the Outback! These are only a few of the many things I never imagined I could or would do before st..."

"I would definitely choose to go to Italy again but maybe not with IES... It was really easy to just interact with other American students. If you want to just hang out and be merry in Italy, then go with IES but if you are really looking for a big cultural experience, go somewhere else. "
