IFSA has program offices and full time staff in each country where we have programs. Our staff provide everything from detailed on-site orientations to academic guidance to emergency assistance. Our program fees guarantee housing. Once you finish your study abroad program, Butler University will process your official transcript with grade and credit translations at no additional cost. A student Wellesley College

A student Rollins College

"100000% worth it. I gain a better perspective on the world and many cultures, while creating life long friendships!"
A student University of St. Thomas - Minnesota
"I gained a sense of freedom by being abroad in another country and being so far from anyone I knew. It was an incredible experience and was definitely worth while."
Shadeh Trinity University
"My Spanish improved dramatically and I gained a lot of confidence in my language abilities. I learned a lot about local culture and politics and how they're still recovering from Pinochet but are also very resilient. I also felt my first earthquake, so that was fun."
Jane Doyle Georgetown University
"I grew as a person and learned to be more independent, even though I was living with a host family. I met new people who I have continued to stay in contact with, learned about various cultures, learned about the environment and our impact, and learned who I was."
Nicholas Galinski American University
"I learned more than I can articulate about culture, language, food, and most importantly myself. It was a life changing experience as cliche as that might sound, but it's true. I am so glad I went!"
A student Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology
"I gained more outdoor/hiking skills and a greater love for the outdoors. I also learned the importance of independence while in a new place. Sometimes, you have to learn how to be alone somewhere new, before you can learn to feel comfortable around others. It was most definitely worthwhile. "
Molly Bogin Wesleyan University
"Living in such an expensive place really helps you learn to budget. When you're abroad you're constantly thinking of where to travel to next, so budgeting definitely comes in handy! "

"Absolutely worthwhile. I met all sorts of people and learned a lot about the world -- and America -- from them. I was also able to learn more about myself, too. "I learned a lot more about myself, as expected, what makes you tick, what you need vs what you want. What makes you happy, what drives you crazy. All in all I would do it all over again in a split second, wish I was there now. "
A student Trinity University
"I learned how to be more independent and how to adapt to unexpected circumstances (i.e. pushing a rental car up a hill and out of mud < but hey, I learned how to drive on the left side of the road!). I gained new friends, most with whom I hope to keep in touch. I would recommend study abroad to anyone who wants to grow and try n..."
