Study Abroad with Kentucky Institute for International Studies / KIIS
"I learned a lot about European culture and lifestyle. I learned a lot about Mozart and music history (which is my major). I learned some German phrases and how to travel a little bit in Europe. I gained a new appreciation for music in general. I learned how to be more independent."
Bethany P Berea College
"Ticos are AMAZING, beautiful people! 100% worthwhile."

"I gained a new worldview and respect for other cultures. I expanded and explored my spiritual path and my own ambitions. It was worth every penny and every second. I cannot wait to return to Greece."
kimberly b Berea College
"I learned a lot about being an American, and how different we are. Some things are better in Italy, but I like some of the things we do in Kentucky. All people are the same; we can all relate to one another somehow. It was definitely worthwhile. "

"I learned so much about the language by being completely immersed in it. I had the opportunity to speak to a large number of people and fulfilled my dream of visiting Inari Taisha, one of my favorite temples. I know I'll visit again one day and explore even more."

"I learned a lot about myself rather than academically"

"It was totally worthwhile. I learned that I am a direct speaker, that I am a capable person, that children (and therefore people) are all human and have the same basic drives and needs, and that the ocean is more vast than I have ever imagined. "
Shady C Berea College
"I learned to be okay if plans fell through, and that it was okay if my Spanish wasn't perfect. I could still make do and learn to be patient. "
