Study Abroad with Princeton University
"I gained a lot more confidence in my language abilities in a native environment. I think in addition to learning from a textbook, I am also more comfortable expressing myself with strangers in which they decide our topics."
Mark Gimbel Brandeis University
"Half of my family hails from Japan, and I have always had trouble communicating with them. When I visited them as soon as the program was over, they noticed my improvement instantly. I was able to communicate to my family for the first time in my life without any barriers, so to say that the program was worthwhile would be an un..."

"I learned that I'm capable of much more difficult coursework and than I'm used to. I also learned that keeping an academic pledge can be fun as well as challenging."

"Although I really enjoyed PiB, it did not make a big personal impact on me. My language skills improved, which was the main reason I went, and it was also nice to return to the area I lived in for nine months during my senior year of high school. Honestly, I think students should go to China, Beijing or otherwise, before par..."

"I can't begin to explain all that I've learned from this program. It's much more than a language summer program. It was honestly life changing, because I knew I wouldn't return to America the same person. I have made such amazing friends with such great ambitions! I have learned how to handle adversity, motivate myself to be my ..."

Marissa M Harvard University
"I loved it! I learned a lot of the language but also just living in Japan for 2 months and experiencing the culture (AND FOOD) was totally unforgettable."
Tuyet C Harvard University
"This was definitely worthwhile. I learned a ton. Both about Japanese Culture and the language. I made a ton of great friends and I generally just had an amazing time. It was probably the most fun I've ever had during a summer and I would do it again ten times over. "
E.J. B Harvard University
"Very worthwhile. I miss that time."
Hyunsung K Harvard University
"Yes. Sadly, I am re-taking the language that I've taken there back at Harvard but the reason for doing so was because the program was faster than I anticipated thus the reason why I am taking it again so I can fully master the grammar points and then move on."
Stéphane F Harvard University
"It did not do much of anything that I had not already gained from living in Japan when I was 18 years old. However, it was very beneficial to my education. "
