"I learned a lot about how organizing is so ingrained in Argentina, and how that translates to a very different political culture than we have the in the United States. With that being said, it made me consider more deeply what it means to be from the United States, and the conceptions I have of certain things that culturally spe..."

"Prior to the program I didn't have any knowledge of public health (I'm a Biology major), but by the end of it I felt like I had a decent grasp on the field of Public Health and I could have an intelligent conversation with someone about the healthcare system in Argentina and talk about all its pros and cons. "

"Absolutely. You are constantly learning about yourself and your surroundings. In addition, it is more than a vacation. Most days good ones but you live there long enough to where your emotions may go through some hardship. THIS IS OKAY. These moments help you realize what it is you need to do to help yourself. "
Edgar Payano Sewanee: The University of the South
"Aside from gaining an understanding of how people live around the world, what conditions they live in, and how they are still happy regardless, I gained two main things. One, the flame inside of me was re-ignited and I was reminded of the things that once made me feel driven and passionate, and my confidence was restored. Two, I..."
A student Brandeis University
"I apologize for the cliche, but you will truly broaden your view of the world and of foreign cultures on this program. Yes, it is a science program, and I feel like I now intimately understand the ecology and ecosystems and the complex conservation issues that Ecuador faces--and the workload of the courses will make sure that yo..."

"All in all, it was worthwhile. It was one of the best experiences an aspiring doctor could have. You are forced to meet strangers and discuss intimate details of their life (in another language nonetheless), just like a doctor does when she/he opens the door of an exam room. You become aware of your vulnerability fluctuating, bu..."
